Organizations providing developmental services, disability support, respite, supported living, and community care depend on reliable frontline workers every day.
When a scheduled worker becomes unavailable, the support still has to continue. ShiftAccept helps your organization prepare before that staffing gap happens.
Create and maintain a pool of workers your organization has already reviewed and approved.
When a worker is unavailable, offer the open shift directly to qualified backup workers.
Your organization decides who joins the backup worker pool and who can receive available shifts.
Why backup workers?
A backup worker pool gives your organization another layer of staffing support when regular employees are unavailable, additional coverage is required, or an unexpected staffing gap occurs.
The goal is not to replace your existing workforce. It is to help protect your schedule when gaps happen.
ShiftAccept currently has 20 registered workers, primarily PSWs, caregivers and a nurse. These workers may become part of your backup worker pool after review, interview, and approval by your organization.
We actively advertise to attract new workers, so you do not have to. As our registered worker network grows, you will have more workers to interview, select, and add to your backup pool.
External backup worker pool
ShiftAccept helps employers build and maintain an external backup worker pool that they can activate when their normal staffing process cannot fill a shift.
ShiftAccept helps you develop an additional pool of interviewed workers outside your regular workforce.
When an urgent or additional shift remains open, you can send it to that backup pool.
Workers choose whether to accept the shift.
You can gradually bring strong backup workers into your regular workforce if you choose.
